Membership

Membership in the Grand Traverse Area Literacy Council is open to anyone who is interested in supporting our mission of fighting illiteracy.  Our annual dues are $20, but many of our members who recognize the need to support the goals of our organization each year send in an additional amount as a contribution. Our membership year runs from June to May.

We provide our members with an opportunity to actively serve the organization as a Board Member, a Committee Member, assist in the office or provide whatever skills a person might contribute to our organization.  The vast majority of our members has attended one of our Tutor Workshops and these members are active tutors.

A Newsletter which describes the events taking place in our organization as well as updates on what is happening in the world of literacy training is published four times a year.  You can read it here on the internet or you, as a member, will have a copy mailed to you.
